Baker CEO Meredith Attwell Baker has agreed to a five-year contract extension with CTIA, the trade group for wireless products and services. In a December news release announcing the extension, Baker cited work on the next generation of wireless, 5G, and said, "I am grateful for the strong vote of confidence in CTIA's future and our talented team." Baker joined CTIA in 2014 with a deep background in wireless communications and spectrum policy. She was appointed to the Federal Communications Commission in 2009.
